Day 8: Relay medal haul

Shashalee Forbes contributed to the silver medal of the Jamaican squad in the women’s 4x100m relay. Alongside Natasha Morrison, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson she claimed eleventh medal for Jamaica at this World Championships. Shashalee ran the third leg, passing the baton at the second position. The Jamaican team clocked a time of 41.21s. After the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2017 World Championships in London, this is the third major competition medal for her.


The Brits with Bianca Williams on the team came in right behind, taking bronze. The time of 41.97s is ranked second in the all-time toplists of Great Britain and N.I., 44 hundreths off the national record.
