Our Top Athletics team will compete at the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 2026, taking place in Toruń from 20 to 22 March. This year, a total of 27 athletes will represent the team on the global stage. They will face world class competition, going head to head with some of the biggest names in athletics.

Men’s Team with Consistent Results
In the men’s sprint, Toluwabori Akinola has recently delivered consistent performances at European indoor meetings, typically running in the mid 6.50 range. He has the ability to reach finals at high level competitions and will aim to attack his personal best in the 60 metres in Toruń.
Over 400 metres, Attila Molnár stands out as one of the leading names, having claimed the European indoor title in 2025 with an outstanding performance. He currently ranks as best ever European indoor quarter miler and is capable of competing for medals on the world stage. In Toruń, he will once again be a key contender in the 400 metres. He will be joined by promising teammate Tomáš Horák, who continues to gain experience at international level and is European U20 indoor record holder.

In the 800 metres, Croatian record holder Marino Bloudek aims high. Jan Vukovič hopes to step up and attack his personal best.
For the 1500 metres, Aldin Ćatović still belongs to U20 category, making this championship an important opportunity to gain valuable experience against the world’s best.
In the sprint hurdles, Milan Trajković has proven himself as a consistent European level finalist and remains a high quality performer. Peter Dávid, on the other hand, will debut at senior world level.
In the high jump, Jan Štefela continues to confirm his rising status. He claimed victory at the renowned Banská Bystrica Latka High Jump Meeting in February, demonstrating not only strong form but also an engaging competitive presence. He leads the entry lists.
The pole vault features one of the strongest athletes on the team in Emmanouil Karalis, a European indoor champion and global medallist who is firmly established among the world’s elite., recently improved to impressive 617. Similarly, in the long jump, Miltiadis Tentoglou remains one of the dominant figures of his generation, consistently winning major titles and ranking among the very best in the world.

In the shot put, Jordan Geist is a strong and reliable competitor with solid international performances, aiming to challenge higher ranked athletes and also could attack the podium at 22+ level.

In the heptathlon, both Ondřej Kopecký and Vilém Stráský are experienced all around athletes who regularly compete at European level and will look to deliver balanced performances across all disciplines.
Women’s Team Ready to Challenge
In the women’s 60 metres, Karolína Maňasová improved this year to 7.05 and her plan is to attack the participation in finals.Magdalena Lindner improved this season and hopes to confirm that,
Over 400 metres, Emma Zapletalová enters with a strong background in the 400 metres hurdles and is was improving a lot in the indoor season, she aims for finals. Lurdes Gloria is also well prepared and has similarly high goals. Daniela Ledecká is aiming for new personal best and to deliver best possible performance.

In the 800 metres, Anita Horvat stands out as a high level European athlete with the ability to reach finals at major championships.
In the sprint hurdles, Karin Strametz, Luca Kozák, and Tereza Čorejová represent a competitive group within Europe and will be looking to deliver strong performances in Toruń. Every semifinal participation is considered a top success.
In the pole vault, Tina Šutej is an established world class athlete with aiming for highest positions. Amálie Švabíková continues to rise and has already proven her ability to reach positions close to medals.

In the horizontal jumps, Milica Gardašević is a strong European level competitor, while Neja Filipič consistently performs at a solid international standard. This championship represents an opportunity for both to break into the top tier and reach a new level in their careers.
